Assalamualaikum and Hello :)

I finally cut my hair short. After almost 3 years of only trimming no more than 2 inches, I finally has the gut to chop my long locks into a bob. A short bob by the way.

What’s with the long hair?

Being a girly person, I love to curl my hair – I do wavy hair, mermaid hair, rambut kepuk kepuk etc. Besides, I love to braid them into fishtail, waterfall, French, ponytail or whatever the beauty gurus teach us in the Youtube.
So, that basically explains why I’m keeping my hair long until they reach my waist.

Or more.

But I guess it is time for a change. I still remember a year ago when I told my danna that I wanted to cut my hair short.
As usual, he was very supportive towards my idea.
So he took me to a hair salon in Shah Alam, drop me there so that I could have my own sweet time and he went window shopping around the area.

After almost an hour of hair cutting, shampooing and blow dry, I went to find him with my brand “new” haircut. And I was excited.

So I stand in front of him and asked,

“how do I look? Is my hair ok?”

And he answered,

“you tak jadi gunting ke? Sama je I tengok.”

That was because I only trimmed an inch of my hair since I was too afraid of getting my hair short. No any significant changes lah.

But this time I am very adamant.

Short hair, short hair it is.

Me and danna both getting pampered at the salon during Christmas few days ago. Salon-date you may say.

And without hesitation, I let the hairdresser to work her scissors and comb on my hair. I even asked her to make some curl starting from the middle of my hair to give them bouncy looks.

Short hairs don’t care. Remorse-free because the danna says I look pretty with it. #mostimportant

Christmas Eve Story

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)

I love to see Christmas decoration. I love the ornaments, the lights, the sparkles and everything related to it.
My fondness on Christmas basically developed since I was a little girl - I grew up in mixed races neighborhood and most of them practices Christianity.
I still remember during Christmast Eve, I would sit on the house balcony and listens to the opposite house's Christmas carol. During that time I was really impressed by the singing - even I did not understand anything, I love how harmony their voices was.
Those were the good old days.
Couple of nights ago the danna took me to Pavillion KL. I heard they got uber pretty deco over there; as usual.
That night we chose not to park our car in Pavi's carpark area since the traffic was really bad.
So we both have to walk, with me being all excited.
But once we reached there, I was shocked to see the crazy crowd.
I felt like we were both at the wrong place in the wrong time.
We can't even walk, the walkway was packed with homo sapiens, like seriously packed till I'm afraid of losing the danna's hand.
To make it worst, these fellas selling snow spray was everywhere.
And they can't keep calm with the thing. Like sesuka hati spray on people.
I can't breathe in the air filled with snow spray and loud cheer and people shouting snow spray snow spray ten ringgit ten ringgit tho.
While the danna was walking in front of me, holding my hand really tight, I could saw Christmas tree few metres away from me.
Sadly, that was the only tree that I saw.
Because few moments later, he turned back and leads me out of the cray cray crowd.
I didn't say anything because I already knew he won't put me or us at any risk in the middle of the kooky mob. Somehow I felt like we were in the New Year's Eve party instead.
Luckily we reached our car safe and sound, without any incidence of punching any snow spray seller's face :D
That's all, people. I'm going back home.

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)

Since our house is still under renovation process, we have to be extra careful about choosing the furniture. But of course, the important ones like bedroom set and sofa are crucial.

So that was the first thing that Hizami bought for the house :)

Next thing would be the kitchen appliances.
Hizami has built this one 3D kitchen model using IKEA's kitchen planner on their website , complete with what items you would like to put in, together with their price.
Well honestly, I was impressed by that.
At very least, we got a clearer idea on how things will turn to and we know the X amount of money we have to spend.

Will update more on our house renovation :)

Tie the Knot : HIV Test

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

For those bride to be's who lived in Johor Bahru, I would recommend Klinik Kesihatan Taman Universiti for them to do their HIV test, since the procedure is compulsory before getting married.

But they only have the test on every Thursday.
So make sure to mark your itenerary so that you won't missed the day.

I came to the place at 2pm on Thursday, and no one else was there for the test.
Looks like it was only me :)

The nurses and staffs are all very helpful.
They guide me throughout the whole process; from the simplest thing like registration, and handling documents that Pejabat Agama gave me.

To be honest, I was quite afraid of poking needles into my arms due to unfavorable past experience - the nurse poked me three times before she found my artery.

First, was on my left arm.

Second was on my right arm.

Third attempt was on the back of my palm.

Even thinking about it makes me sick.

But thank God, this time everything went smooth.
The nurse only took a bit of blood from my fingertip and put them onto a test strip and done.
Then I was told to wait outside before they got the result.

At first I thought they need to take huge blood sample from me; I guess different clinics or different states got their own different procedure.
Or maybe because I am a frequent blood donor, in fact, I
just donated my blood a week before the HIV test (during blood donation, they would take your blood sample and sent them to hospital's lab for further test.
Let's say if you have blood infection, the hospital will contact you immediately to inform you their findings).

After a while, the nurse came out of the room and hand me that HIV Test form and that's it - done with the procedure and can move on to the next stage :)

Ps : Mind you, the result must be Negative. If you got Positive result, next blood test will be conducted and perhaps, treatment or medication will be started before they weakens your Helper T cells.

Oh how I missed my pathophysiology class .

Melaka with HanChee

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)
I took my pet guineapig, HanChee out for a walk and sightseeing few weeks ago.
The last time we went out was like ages ago, to Puteri Harbour, not including few trips to Citta Mall, morning walks in the park and watching sunset by the beach.
This time we went to Melaka.
Well I must rant about what a dreamboat he is. \Everyone was approaching us, from those kids selling merchandise along the streets up till taxi drivers as well as the jaywalkers.
Those kind of attention makes me feel a bit uncomforable somehow.
Maybe I should keep him inside his carrier instead of carrying him like a baby :)

 Under the Melaka Tree :D

This time one curious taxi driver approaches us asking what HanChee really is.

This is my favorite shot of HanChee.
I think HanChee should socialize more. Maybe he needs companion. Or maybe just social friends.
So that he know life is not just about sitting inside the dome and
eat cucumber every morning.

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)
I had an extremely stressful moment earlier this morning.
I woke up and I find out my phone died. Ok one of my bad habit is I am too lazy to recharge my phone. I would normally use the phone until the battery becomes flat; and only run like mad to charge them back when battery percentage is 1% left.
And this annoys Hizami a lot.
He would nag about it; telling how important it is to always make sure your phone got enough battery yada yada and at the same time he will help me to charge mine.
And usually he would do it when I was asleep at night.
But last night I put my phone inside my handbag and I didn’t take it out since we came back from dinner.
To make it worst, my phone was crazy this morning – it can’t detect any signal.
The date shows 1 January 1970.
I have to delete all settings on my phone, connect to wifi and then only things turned back to normal.
But this caused me late for work.
I wish I could just put my phone anywhere and it will recharge by itself.
Using sunlight.
Or oxygen.
Or maybe using the heat from my body since I’m always thermogenic. Lol.

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)
My man took me to the Big Bad Wolf bookfair last Friday, straight after I stepped my feet on KLIA. And it was already midnight.
I was extremely tired but yet still very excited to go.
Midnight crowd was not as packed as the day crowd he said. And it was true.
We reached The Mines Convention Centre at 11pm and spend couple of hours there picking our new reads and I was pretty comfortable with the surroundings, so I just took my own sweet time looking for my preference.
The books are dirt cheap.
Classic picks like Oliver Twists by Charles Dickens goes for only RM1 ftw and I still remember when I was ten years old I bought Oliver Twist and Phantom of the Opera for at very least RM39 each, using my duit raya.
But it was then lah.
Here it goes. I managed to find this Blossom on the Wind, a very inspirational book by Juliet Lac.
Been eyeing for this book months ago and never thought it was there :)

Thank you Hizami. That New Architecture in Japan is a very interesting book.
Let's go find those beautiful buildings when we go to Japan on March, ok?

As I Am Waiting

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

I am currently on annual leave. Nothing much to do this time, just rest at home and watch dorama.  Anddd preparing myself mentally before I fly next week.

How's life?

Life is not to the point where I can feel comfortable just yet but I take this as a chance for me to learn about patience and yeah, to tame my fear.

Not going to get 'naked' here but please do hope that I got the strength to walk through this :)

Getting Married : Prepping the Skin

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

As I always mentioned before, my skin is very sensitive and prone to breakouts.  But since I consumed antibiotics and lactoferrin, less pimples coming out day by day and few months later I gained back my blemish-free skin.

Dark spots gone, too.

I discontinued taking antibiotics after two weeks consumption, and continue with lactoferrin  for months. Other than that, I drink plenty of water and put on face mask twice a week ( my favorite is Bio Essence White Tanaka), together with their face serum which I really love and vitamin ACE to fight against free radicals.

Doesn't much, but who wants big zits on the face during your special day, ain't it?
