Public Awareness : Women's Urogenital Health

Assalamualaikum and Hello

Women with urogenital health problem always chose to keep the secret to themselves rather than to seek for professional health.

Maybe they feel insecure or too shy to admit their situation; but whatever it is, it will only make the condition even worst.

The most common urogenital problem among women includes yeast infection (candida albicans sp.), bacterial infection as well as the Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).

Check your vaginal discharge: a normal vaginal discharge should be colorless and sometimes off-white color. But when a woman is infected with yeast or bacteria, the discharge will normally turns gray, yellowish up to green color.
And this infection will be accompanied with intense itchiness and inflammation around the labia.

Meanwhile, UTI is an infection in any part of the urinary system – kidneys, bladder, ureter and urethra. Women are at greater risk of UTI due to the short urethra compared to men.
Signs of UTI include burning sensation during urination, intense urge to urinate but little/ none came out, pain or tenderness below the navel area, cloudy and dark urine, feels tired and at more serious stage – fever and chills.

UTI is commonly treated with amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin, ampicillin and levofloxacin; and yeast infection is treated with the azoles.

Other than that, the usage of probiotics can also be considered.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 are two clinically proven probiotics that can help to reduce urogenital infections, normalize vaginal microflora and reduce the frequency of infection (urogenital).

Always practice good hygiene, wipe from front to back after each toilet visit and stay away from feminine products that can cause irritation to your private part.
Take care!

Assalamualaikum and Hello

Happy Fasting everyone. This is our first Ramadhan together; as man and wife.

When I was a kid, ayah will teach me niat berpuasa every night, before I fall asleep; without failed. My mom will prepare air cincau for me every day for berbuka – also without failed.
Must tell you, air cincau was like my must-have every Ramadhan.

And during sahur, ayah will knocked on my bedroom door to wake me up. With my selebet selekeh rambut serabai, I will go downstairs, have a glass of Milo, and then go to bed again.
Thanks to my mom. And ayah.

That’s how I spent my Ramadhan since I was a kid, until I further my studies away from home.

During my study years, I would normally skip sahur, I would do late night snacking sambil study or online. And as for berbuka, my menu was predictable – bread, Maggi mee, nasi goreng tapaw at food stall nearby my apartment, or maybe nasi ayam percik if I have the energy to walk to the bazar Ramadhan (FYI, I did not have a car during my study days).
Or when I was financially tight, very tight, I would just make lempeng kosong for myself, letak bawang sikit. :)

That was when I started to appreciate home-cooked meals.

I wasn’t born with silver spoon. I always tried to make use of the hard-earned money that my parents gave me every month at the max.
Maybe that explains why I’m a bit cheapskate lol. So what?

But today, being a wife, I always wanted to give the best for my man. Even though it was hard to wake up at 3am and masak nasi, prepare for sahur, but I am trying.
From a person who only woke up to drink Milo and then continue to sleep; now I am doing exactly the same thing that my mom did for me and the rest of the family.
I am trying.

I just hope He will give me the strength, a compassionate heart and love without limits; for all that I have and for all that I am yet to have.

Salad Party

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)

Last Saturday was HanChee's 3rd birthday.

So I decided to throw some salad party at home to celebrate. My husband was like melayan je.

The menu was:

Romaine lettuce salad
Horenso salad
Home made burger with home made burger patties (obviously not for HanChee)

The burger patties was awesome. Less fillers to get that sweet, juicy beef taste.

Oh my I'm drooling.

Btw, Happy Birthday sayang mommy.

Mommy love you.

Tie the Knot: Dress Idea

Assalamualaikum and Hello :)

Still in love with my wedding dress. Full-lace, white, super feminine, extremely delicate, with minimal beadings - for the minimalist like me.

I always love white. And soft yellow. So I googled some wedding dress inspiration and I found this:

I need something not necessarily identical to this, but I love the laces, I love the length, I love the sleeves, and I love the sweetheart neckline of the dress.

So I told my wedding planner that I would love to wear something like that. And after some sketches, we decided to recreate the look by adding small buttons on the wrists and along my spine, put on very minimal beadings on the body, using  prada lace with intricate design and simple veil to complete the look.

Big no for sequine and blinkies.

Will update again about the dress later.

Ps: Not endure the idea of wearing colours for wedding. I'm more to the classic and timeless looks.
